On Tuesday, August 25th 2015, the Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board together with the You(th) Are Here Engagement Team and their Revolutionary Approach to Groundbreaking Empowerment (R.A.G.E.), The Blueprint For Action: Preventing Youth Violence, and The Musicant Group held an event called "Create Yourself! Youth Fair" that provided a free expression outlet for youth and young adults within Minneapolis. The event was held at the beautiful Target Field Amphitheater and was originally scheduled for August 22nd, 2015 but due to rainy weather it was postponed until the following Tuesday; showing the sincere dedication and commitment to providing open space for our youth.
Grind Time Now, Conscious Minds Records, and The Minnesota Hip Hop Coalition brought The United Slaves Of America 2 Tour to North Minneapolis and hit its target.. Real Hiphoppas in the hood! This event was less of a production and more like a family reunion of some serious Hip Hop Community members coming together for the cause of preserving Hip Hop Culture in Minnesota and Unifying all Slaves of America.
Let it be known that while this unity building event was happening there was a fatal shooting approx one-half mile north of this location and we send our love to the streets and all of our community members in the struggle.. United Slaves Of America!!
